Strategies to Use in the Classroom

  • Keep instructions as brief and uncomplicated as much as possible. When repeating instructions, repeat exactly without paraphrasing.

  • Allow time for clarification of directions and essential information

  • Present lecture information in a visual format like on chalkboards or overheads, PowerPoint slides or handouts.

  • Use more than one way to demonstrate or explain information
